Where your money goes
- Beach and river cleanups — removing plastic and debris from waterways before it breaks down or reaches the ocean
- Community waste programmes — supporting local groups that collect, sort, and divert rubbish from open dumps
- Restoration projects — replanting coastlines, stabilising eroded sites, and repairing habitats damaged by dumping
- Education and advocacy — helping more people understand the scale of the problem and push for better policy
Why donate now
Every year, millions of tonnes of waste are generated faster than the planet can absorb. Cleanup work is underfunded and unevenly distributed — the communities most affected often have the fewest resources to respond.
A small contribution adds up. Ten dollars can supply gloves and bags for a volunteer cleanup. Fifty can help a local group haul tonnes of waste to proper disposal. More means we can reach more places, more often.
